That's right. I'm trying again to blog. It's my "Me-Time," and I'm trying to work a little more of this into my life.

Things are going well with the boys. Tyson loves kindergarten, and Riley is growing like a weed. Riley is now sitting up on his own, can get from his belly to his hands & knees, and we expect him to take off crawling any day now. He also has two teeth! Yay! )Oh, the drool & snot has been unbearable, though.)

THere has been some knitting going on around here, too. I'm knitting this shopping bag. It's knitted entirely in seed stitch, so it's going s l o w l y.

We went camping last weekend. It's our annual Weekend-Before-Halloween camping trip! It was chilly during the day, and Friggin Freezing at night. We all stayed in the tent Friday night, but Riley & I stayed in my Dad & step-mom's trailer on Saturday night. (Matt & Ty slept in the tent both nights since they both stay pretty toasty at night.)

There was a lot of time to relax around the fire.

Riley enjoyed the tent.
Saturday we took a hike through the beautiful woods. Only some of the leaves have turned, but the sky was blue and the air was crisp.

Ty & my stepmom crawled inside a small cave for a brief photo op. It took a little coaxing, as Ty thought a bear might be sleeping farther back inside.
Riley absolutely LOVED riding in the back-pack. Matt gave him a few opportunities to touch some interesting things, like leaves, trees, etc.
WHen we got back, my dad & Matt discovered a new use for the lantern hook at our campsite! Okay, before you totally freak out about how unsafe this appears to be, take a breath and chill out. Matt was standing just outside of the camera's view, and Riley was never actually in any danger. Shame on you, thinking I would ever do anything unsafe with my children.

We also did some leaf rubbings and carved our pumpkin on Saturday afternoon. (I failed to get photos because we were all sticky with pumpkin goo.)

And Saturday night the Halloween Festivities really kicked off. All the kids got dressed in their costumes and went trick or treating around the campground. Here's Ty.. ahem. I mean Indiana Jones.
Ty cleaned up... lots of Smarties and mini Hershey Bars!
Tonight we're going trick or treating around our neighborhood, and will also visit some of the grandparents to beg for candy as well.
Have a Happy (and SAFE) Halloween!!!!!!

Wow, you camp in TENTS?? I'd hang my kids from hooks on poles, too if I had to camp in a tent! LOL! We camped in a dusty rustic cabin, but I haven't found time to blog it yet. Your little guy looks cuter than Harrison Ford in the first movie :)
